Saturday, September 9              Bodega Bay
Harbor mudflats, ocean beach, and rocky headland for post-breeding seabird and shorebird migration– Bodega Bay, Harbor and Head, and Doran Beach. Possible passerine vagrants. Can be surprisingly warm or foggy, windy and downright cold (wear sunscreen and be prepared for wind chill with layers, hat and gloves) – easy walks. Good bird photo opportunities around the harbor. Meet 6:30 AM at Marketplace Shopping Center, in parking lot for Big 5 Sporting Goods (W. Covell & Highway 113 in Davis).  Bring binoculars (spotting scope provided), lunch & snacks and beverages (option to buy take-out clam chowder or crab sandwich). If you plan on driving please RSVP (entrance to Doran Beach is $7 per car).  Two-hour drive each way; you should be back by 6 pm.  Leader: Chris Dunford [530 902-3576;]
